Our Story

Founded in 2018 by husband-and-wife duo Matthew and Nicole Bordignon, Elemental Millwork is a brick-and-mortar business that represents their shared dream of creating high-quality cabinetry and millwork solutions. Often mistaken for a franchise, Elemental Millwork stands as a testament to the dedication of two individuals fueled by their love for woodworking and design.

Matthew's passion for woodworking began in childhood, where he demonstrated a natural talent for building and creating. His journey has led him to a distinguished career as an award-winning Red Seal Cabinet Maker with over 23 years of experience, making his expertise a cornerstone of the company.

Nicole's involvement with Elemental Millwork started in 2006 when she met Matthew. Their mutual passion for woodworking and design prompted them to relocate to Powell River in 2011. Between 2011 and 2018, Matthew served as the lead Red Seal Cabinet Maker at the respected “The Woodworks,” where he gained invaluable experience and refined his skills.

We are proud to use Greenguard Certified and NAF-Rated manufacturing products, which means we are committed to crafting products with low chemical emissions for a healthier indoor environment for your home or business.

    Wood Veneer: We offer wood veneer options in a variety of species that provide the beauty of solid wood with a smaller environmental footprint.

    Safe Glues and Finishes: We use NAF (No Added Formaldehyde)  finishes and adhesives.
